If there is a country I have been to that is taken straight out of a fairytale then it’s Slovenia. I came to this country with high expectations but Slovenia exeeded even them all. It even exeeded my wildest dreams of how much beauty can be found in one country. This country has so many beautiful places and is full of colors, is very eco-friendly, has some beautiful mountains and is in general a very green and harmonic country.
Having been there I really fail to see why Slovenia isn’t more known as tourist destination and more traveled to. Read More
Eating the same snacks over and over again can quickly become soo boring and unappetizing so why not add a little twist to a regular, plain toast and turn it into a magical unicorn toast?! That’s exactly what I did and I love the results so much I wanted to share what I did with you’all! Cannot believe I missed out on it when the unicorn toast first appeared and went viral earlier this year (…like in Spring, duuh, read why here and here). Read More
God calls us to go. To go into all the nations (Matthew 28). And this summer God called me to Thailand for 2 months. The time in Thailand was a part of the the last phase of the DTS called outreach.
So what did I do in Thailand you might wonder?
First we stayed in Bangkok for a couple days for orientation where we learned a lot about the culture and belief of this country known as “the land of smiles”. A country that is also known for the line “to be Thai is to be buddhist”. To get to know this country we went to downtown Bangkok and visited temple after temple. Not that we had to search to find them, they were everywhere.
Time is flying by so quickly. Crazy to think about the fact that I will be leaving for Thailand in exactly 2 weeks from now.
So many new sides of God has been revealed to me and testimonies have been created.
Today’s post is written by one of my absolute favorite blogger friends, Joelle Angel of My Sunday Dress. So blessed to know this awesome woman of God and have known her for almost 2.5 years now (#timeflowsby). When I started my blog Joelle was one of the first people to jump on board and help me, support me and mentor what direction I was taking my blog. Besides working for RueLaLa you can find Joelle selling tees with inspiring messages on her site.
Recently I have been reminded of the importance of being reminded of Scripture and things that inspire me throughout the whole day. And what better what way to do just that than by having an inspirational and pretty background on your phone. So I began to work on it. And here is the outcome: 5 different backgrounds for your phone you can choose between. Just save your favorite to your phone and use it as home screen or lock screen. Hope you will be just as inspired by them as I am myself.
I am reminded of our human nature every single day. Our striving for looking our best, looking like we are succeeding in life and living our dream out. We constantly try to look our best on social media. To showcase our best and most curated version of ourselves. The stories behind our accomplishments and every day life, all the tears that has been shedding, all the angry words that has been sad rarely make it to social media. And it is not only applicable for social media. In our real life we do the same. We try to make a good impression on those around us by being happy and being our best.
Sometimes God calls people to do very ‘unglamorous’ things. For instance the prophets. They were called to preach the words God spoke to them and it was often words about repentance and the bad things that would happen if people did not turn away from their wicked ways and turn their hearts back to God. A glamorous job to tell people these often welcomed words? No. And indeed those words were not welcomed. Often the prophets were mocked and looked down on.
